The Master of Divinity/Master of Social Work (MDiv/MSW) dual degree is a collaborative program between Howard University's School of Divinity (HUSD) and School of Social Work (HUSW).
This combined curriculum equips graduates for faith-based service while strengthening their professional identity across both disciplines, integrating biological, psychological, social, and spiritual perspectives for comprehensive assessment and intervention at all practice levels.
Students can finish this concurrent dual degree in four years rather than the typical five years needed for separate degrees. Upon completion, participants earn a single diploma recognizing both master's qualifications. Admission to the program requires acceptance into both schools simultaneously.

Qualification Requirements
To be eligible, individuals must have a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university, and a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher.
Persons applying to graduate programs must have a superior academic record and the equivalent of Howard University's four-year baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution.
Official transcripts, final certificates and/or mark/grade sheets must be sent directly from the college or university to the Office of Graduate Recruitment and Admissions (photocopies or transcripts in the applicant's possession are not acceptable) Statement of Academic Interest & Professional Goals
