The field of Clinical Laboratory Science offers a dynamic and fulfilling career path in healthcare. These professionals deliver crucial laboratory test results quickly, enabling accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans that enhance patient care. Our bachelor's degree program spans four years, structured into two distinct phases: Lower and Upper Division studies. During the initial Lower Division years, first- and second-year students fulfill foundational prerequisite coursework. The subsequent Upper Division years immerse third- and fourth-year students in specialized subjects including medical technology, biochemistry, hematology, and clinical reasoning. In their final year, students complete practical training at certified clinical laboratories throughout the Washington, DC region. Upon completion, graduates qualify to take national certification tests in their field.
