The Performance program cultivates the technical proficiency and artistic expression needed for a career as a concert artist. The bachelor's degree curriculum and course plans are structured for completion within four years of dedicated study. Participants engage with diverse coursework and performance groups to develop into well-rounded, accomplished musicians. Typically, students present a culminating recital during their senior year. Howard University's music department boasts a storied legacy dating back to 1870 with its initial course offerings.
