The Master of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling equips students to become professional counselors, providing them with specialized expertise, competencies, and perspectives necessary to support individuals with disabilities in attaining personal, social, psychological, and vocational autonomy—including suitable employment and independent living. This program qualifies graduates for the nationally recognized Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) certification. Alumni pursue careers across diverse rehabilitation environments such as state-federal rehabilitation agencies, mental health facilities, hospitals, private rehabilitation firms, VA clinics, addiction treatment programs, educational institutions, independent living initiatives, insurance providers, private practices, and other organizations assisting those with mental, emotional, social, and physical challenges. Applicants holding bachelor's degrees can finish this comprehensive program within two to three academic years, with potential acceleration through the transfer of up to 12 approved graduate credits.
