This program equips students for high-level roles in data engineering, quantitative analysis, machine learning, and data analytics. The coursework covers essential mathematical and algorithmic concepts applied across various data science domains, including data mining, visualization, statistical modeling, and machine learning. Students gain expertise in fundamental data science methodologies like linear algebra, statistical inference, and optimization techniques, alongside practical applications in machine learning and data analysis. The curriculum fosters robust computational and analytical capabilities. Comprising 30 credit hours, the program includes 18 required credits in mathematics and applied data science, plus either 6 elective credits with a 6-credit thesis or 9 elective credits with a 3-credit capstone project. Full-time students can complete the program in one year, while part-time students typically finish in two years.
