The Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies strives to become the worldwide pioneer in interdisciplinary education, shaping tomorrow's Advanced Practice Nurses and Physician Assistants. Our institution provides a post-graduate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Certificate Program, with graduates qualifying to take the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) national certification exams.

By combining Hofstra University's varied academic offerings and facilities with Northwell Health's extensive clinical experience and educational assets, the Hofstra Northwell School creates a unique learning environment.

Through an interdisciplinary approach, our FNP Certificate Program equips graduates to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based, patient-focused care that enhances the health and wellness of diverse populations, ultimately benefiting society.

Our FNP program specifically trains practitioners to offer high-quality, personalized care to patients of all ages within family contexts. FNPs specialize in preventive medicine while also diagnosing and managing both sudden and ongoing illnesses. These healthcare professionals emphasize family-focused treatment and recognize how a family's community influences effective care delivery (NONPF, 2013, 2017).
