The Veterinary Technology Associate of Science degree offers a practical, AVMA-accredited training program that students can finish within two years or five continuous terms. Graduates can pursue roles as veterinary technicians in various settings, including private clinics, animal welfare organizations, specialized veterinary care, zoo and wildlife medicine, agricultural fields, and biomedical research.

HCC's veterinary technology program has a partnership with St. Petersburg College (SPC), allowing graduates to seamlessly transition into SPC's online Bachelor of Science in Veterinary Technology program.

Qualification Requirements

To be eligible for admission to an associate degree program at HCC, applicants must submit documentation that they have the equivalent of one of the following:

high school equivalency certificate (GED)
Associate or higher degree
standard high school diploma
High School

Transcripts must include your final grades and graduation date. Opened transcripts are considered to be unofficial and will not be accepted.
