The Associate in Arts degree in art caters to students aiming to transfer to a four-year institution for bachelor's programs in areas like fine arts, art education, or art history. The curriculum provides a comprehensive artistic education, covering subjects such as art history, drawing, printmaking, painting, digital media, sculpture, ceramics, and photography. Students gain hands-on experience by showcasing their creations in campus galleries and organizing exhibitions, offering valuable exposure to professional gallery operations.
To be eligible for admission to an associate degree program at HCC, applicants must have the equivalent of one of the following: high school equivalency certificate (GED), Associate or higher degree, standard high school diploma.
