Designed for medical practitioners, experienced public health specialists, or those new to the field, the program offers adaptable degree structures and diverse concentration areas. You'll gain foundational public health training while tailoring your studies to personal aspirations. Our MPH alumni have accomplished extraordinary feats - from spearheading worldwide disease eradication campaigns for smallpox and Guinea worm to leading healthcare institutions and government ministries. Graduates have pioneered life-saving immunizations, practiced across medical disciplines, authored influential books, and risen to national leadership positions. The 45-credit MPH-45 option caters to professionals with existing graduate degrees, medical/dental students who've completed clinical training, or those boasting five-plus years in public health. It's also available as part of combined degree programs.
The global health concentration prepares experienced professionals for leadership positions across subnational, national, and international health sectors. Ideal candidates possess substantial global health backgrounds. This program examines the evolving global health landscape while strengthening analytical and methodological capabilities to tackle worldwide population health issues. Participants will refine their skills in applying epidemiological, economic, political, and managerial frameworks to develop, execute, and assess health initiatives. Alumni typically pursue careers in government health agencies, international organizations, aid programs, nonprofit entities, and private sector health ventures.
