The two-year Master of Medical Sciences in Medical Education program has two key objectives:
First, to equip students with a strong grounding in the core concepts of health professions education, covering learning science, curriculum design methodologies, adult education principles, educational technology implementation, and assessment frameworks.
Second, to offer students extensive resources and dedicated time to conduct research on critical challenges in the field. Our research focus encompasses both empirical studies and hypothesis evaluation through quantitative and qualitative methods.
The HMS MMSc-Med Ed program aims to empower outstanding health science professionals to apply their expertise toward improving health education. By fostering research, skill development, and innovation, the program strives to revolutionize health professions education to enhance healthcare globally. Our graduates emerge prepared to drive meaningful advancements and implement significant reforms.
The HMS MMSc-Med Ed program's purpose is to enable accomplished health science specialists to redirect their knowledge toward advancing medical education. Through investigative work, competency enhancement, and novel approaches, the program aims to reshape health education to better serve medical science and patient care worldwide. Alumni leave our program equipped to pioneer developments and enact substantial improvements.
The MMSc-Medical Education is open to those who already possess or are in the process of completing a terminal academic or professional credential, such as MD, MBBS, PhD, or other doctoral degree in the nursing, pharmacy, public health or health professions-related fields.
English Language Scores: Admissions decisions are contingent on a minimum score of 125 on the Duolingo test and satisfactory programmatic review of the writing and video samples provided by Duolingo.
