This program caters to students aspiring to pursue original mathematical research and build careers as research mathematicians. Participants will be based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a global hub for mathematical activity.
The initiative supports students aiming to undertake groundbreaking mathematical research while developing into professional mathematicians. Located in Cambridge, this program places students at the heart of one of the world's most vibrant mathematical communities, surrounded by prestigious institutions like Boston College, Boston University, Brandeis University, MIT, and Northeastern University.
Participants will benefit from comprehensive resources, including the Center of Mathematical Sciences and Applications, which facilitates collaboration among researchers across diverse fields and institutions while organizing conferences, seminars, and specialized workshops.
Individuals who have or will have by the time of matriculation a BA, BS, or equivalent undergraduate degree (for prospective international students, a three- or four-year undergraduate degree from an institution of recognized standing) and actively seeks applicants from groups historically underrepresented in graduate schools. Applicants must receive a minimum score of 80 for the TOEFL, and it is not common for applicants to be admitted with TOEFL scores below 90. The minimum IELTS Academic score is 6.5.
