The Associate in Pre-Nursing Direct Transfer Agreement/Major Related Program is typically chosen by students aiming to transfer to a four-year institution as juniors to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). This degree fulfills Washington State university distribution requirements by covering general education coursework for first and second-year students. To obtain this degree, students need to complete 90-91 quarter credits from approved 100-level or higher courses (see distribution list) while meeting particular distribution criteria. Pass/no-credit courses may account for no more than 25% of required credits. Note that Pass-graded courses might not count toward major requirements. A minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA and 24 credits completed at Green River College are mandatory. Nursing programs often have competitive admission standards, potentially requiring higher overall GPAs, specific course GPAs, or minimum grades in particular classes.
