The Associate in Computer Science Direct Transfer Agreement Major Related Program (ACS-DTA/MRP) offers a structured route for students aiming to pursue computer science and similar disciplines at Washington state universities. Since computer science programs are highly selective, this pathway equips students with essential knowledge and skills to align their studies with the Direct Transfer Agreement while preparing for advanced studies in computer science at partner four-year institutions. The coursework focuses on major preparation rather than fulfilling General Education/University (GER/GUR) requirements, enabling transfer students to achieve junior-level standing both in credit hours and program readiness. To obtain this degree, students must complete 90 credits from approved 100-level or higher courses (see distribution list) while adhering to specific credit distribution guidelines. A maximum of 25% of credits can be earned through pass/no-credit options, though students should note that pass-graded courses might not count toward major requirements. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 is required, along with earning at least 24 credits at Green River College. Due to the competitive nature of computer science programs, higher GPA standards—either overall or for specific courses—may apply.
