This academic program enables students to cultivate crucial medical administration competencies within their chosen specialization while delivering a well-rounded general education. Course placement is determined by previous educational background and professional experience. The program offers two specialization tracks: Front Office or Medical Coding and Reimbursement. Front Office - This track equips students with vital front office administration abilities such as client relations, patient intake, appointment coordination, records management, and technical proficiencies required for various healthcare environments. Medical Coding and Reimbursement Specialist: This concentration prepares students with fundamental ICD, CPT, HCPCS, and claims processing expertise needed for careers in medical billing or coding. Graduates will qualify to take certification examinations administered by national professional organizations. Degree completion requires successful passage of all core curriculum courses along with fulfillment of concentration-specific requirements. Participants must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA in all coursework.
