In a rapidly changing field such as nursing, particularly within a country navigating intricate healthcare system changes, obtaining higher education has become increasingly crucial for nursing professionals. Governors State University's Master of Science in Nursing provides exceptional post-baccalaureate pathways designed to equip you for advanced practice nursing or leadership positions. Our nursing curriculum emphasizes delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care, fostering therapeutic environments, and developing supportive healthcare communities. The GovState nursing faculty comprises experienced Advanced Practice Nurses, nursing administrators, veteran instructors, and PhD-level researchers who deliver top-tier education.

The Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) accommodates working nurses with its adaptable hybrid course structure. Select from four specialized tracks to align your studies with career aspirations: Nursing Executive and Innovative Leadership, Adult/Gerontological Health Clinical Nurse Specialist, Family Nurse Practitioner, or the post-master's Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate. Both the MSN and BSN programs within the College of Health and Human Services hold accreditation from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing.
