The Associate in Arts Degree in Physics equips students for advanced studies in physics or similar physical science fields. It also offers foundational physics knowledge suitable for starting positions in science-focused industries or lab settings. The curriculum covers all major classical physics topics (mechanics, wave phenomena, acoustics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, and optical physics), introduces contemporary physics concepts (such as special relativity, atomic and nuclear physics), and develops students' critical thinking and analytical skills for real-world applications.
After completing this program, graduates will be able to:
Demonstrate understanding of fundamental physics theories and principles.
Apply these core concepts to address challenges across different physics domains.
Articulate physics' historical significance and its ongoing development as a dynamic field of modern research.
Outline the investigative approaches used by physicists.
