This program equips students with fundamental knowledge of research-backed coaching methodologies and practical skills to pursue careers as sports coaches in community or competitive settings. The curriculum highlights communication strategies, athletic skill enhancement, and ethical guidelines, while addressing the needs of diverse athletes spanning various ages, ethnicities, skill levels, and physical capabilities. Prospective students should possess moderate physical fitness and English verbal proficiency before enrollment, with recommended participation in PE sports courses or intercollegiate athletics to refine their focus sport(s). The program requires completion of 22-25 core units. Program Learning Outcome: Graduates will demonstrate the ability to assess and contrast skill progression, tactical approaches, coaching theories, leadership methods, and training structures to foster athlete development. Cultivate and analyze the importance of clear communication with school administrators, parents, referees, and players to promote constructive social development. Identify moral obligations in coaching and develop strategies for resolving ethical challenges in athletic environments.
