Registered nursing is a licensed profession overseen by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN). This program leads to an Associate in Science degree with a Nursing major. Upon graduation, students become eligible to take the California RN licensing exam (NCLEX-RN). The program requires full-time enrollment. Along with nursing-specific coursework, students must fulfill all college graduation requirements to earn their degree. Admission to the Nursing program requires meeting all prerequisites before starting first-semester courses. The curriculum consists of 63 mandatory units. Program Learning Outcomes: Graduates will develop the knowledge to apply nursing principles from a two-year ADN program, including evidence-based clinical practices for entry-level RN positions. They'll also master first-year ADN concepts and gain hands-on skills integrating nursing theory with clinical practice. Glendale College provides certificate and degree options in Registered Nursing (RN), with a curriculum approved by the California BRN. Program admission requires fulfilling all prerequisites before beginning coursework.
