This degree or certificate represents the second phase in the statewide IT Technician program, equipping students to advance their technical support capabilities. Through network and server security courses, learners acquire hands-on experience with Help Desk applications. Participants are advised to pursue relevant industry certifications like CompTIA Network, CompTIA Security, Microsoft Server, and Microsoft Desktop while progressing through the curriculum. Those who finish both Stage 1 and this level of the IT Technician pathway qualify for roles including Computer User Support Specialists, Computer Network Support Specialists, and IT retail management positions. Program Learning Outcomes: Graduates will demonstrate the ability to deliver technical support to users, assist Support Specialists in diagnosing network issues, maintain internet and network systems, and perform system upkeep to minimize operational disruptions.
