Each certificate corresponds with the California Child Development Permit, granted by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. This permit allows educators to advance along a career pathway that aligns with professional objectives and skill levels related to employment and leadership roles. The curriculum caters to students aspiring to teach in school-age childcare environments, requiring 27 units of Child Development coursework along with 16 General Education units needed for the California Child Development Permit.
