These degree and certificate pathways are tailored to foster the professional growth of students pursuing careers in Early Childhood Administration. Each certificate corresponds with the California Child Development Permit, administered by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. This permit allows educators to progress along a career pathway that aligns with professional objectives and skill levels related to employment and leadership roles. The curriculum caters to students preparing for teaching careers in early childhood education settings. To qualify for the California Child Development Permit, students must complete 27 units of Child Development coursework along with 16 units of General Education requirements. Program Learning Outcomes: Graduates of this program will gain insights into young children's development and the various factors influencing their growth, enabling them to create nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environments. They will learn to appreciate the diverse characteristics of children's families and communities, building collaborative relationships that empower families and engage them in their children's education. Students will master observation and assessment techniques to enhance teaching practices while partnering with families and professionals.
