The program concentrates on building essential skills across multiple disciplines such as visual communication, analytical reasoning, fundamental design concepts, UX/UI design, proficiency with industry-standard tools, and the importance of ongoing professional growth. A key component involves assembling a portfolio that showcases these core competencies emphasized in the coursework. Graduates will be qualified for entry-level positions like production designers or junior graphic designers in the advertising and design field. Additionally, the program provides a foundation for students to pursue bachelor's degrees, including BFAs or BAs in Graphic Design and Communication Design at four-year institutions. Completion requires 30 units of mandatory coursework. Program Outcomes: Students will gain the ability to consistently integrate critical graphic design components into their work, apply industry-standard technical practices, and establish connections with both four-year colleges and the regional design community.
