Analytical chemistry is a scientific discipline focused on examining matter by studying its chemical makeup. Our research aims to investigate both the qualitative and quantitative aspects of substances by identifying their chemical constituents and measuring their quantities within samples.
Our researchers employ chemical expertise, computational tools, and advanced instrumentation across various experimental methods. Their work is facilitated by cutting-edge equipment such as high-resolution mass spectrometers, high-field NMR spectrometers, cryoprobes, HPLC and FPLC systems, centrifugal partition chromatography units, capillary electrophoresis devices, and GC/mass spectrometers. Faculty research primarily explores analytical chemistry applications, particularly bioanalytical studies utilizing fluorescence spectroscopy, capillary electrophoresis, and single-molecule detection through functional nanopore platforms.
