The J.D. and MPH combined program is provided through a collaboration between the College of Law and the School of Public Health.

Public health plays a vital role across all scales: from community to worldwide levels. Managing infectious diseases, chronic conditions, and injuries involves intricate legal, policy, and ethical considerations. Combining legal expertise with public health knowledge creates an interdisciplinary solution for pressing challenges like immunization requirements, head injury policies, smoking regulations, opioid abuse, and weight-related health concerns.

This curriculum educates students about the dynamic legal and policy frameworks governing public health initiatives, the diverse influences on population health, and the evidence-based foundations of public health interventions.
