Students pursuing the Clinical-Community (CLC) specialization receive comprehensive training that bridges clinical and community psychology, preparing them for clinical licensure after completing their studies. This dual enrollment program offers a culturally sensitive, strengths-focused framework for understanding mental health and positive development, integrating theoretical knowledge, research methodologies, and practical applications across various analytical dimensions - including psychological, sociopolitical, and ecological perspectives. CLC students in the dual program benefit from training that combines community psychology's emphasis on prevention and social equity with clinical psychology's expertise in assessment and personalized treatment approaches. Beyond clinical licensure qualifications, these students develop competencies in systemic intervention strategies essential for institutional and community work: consultation services, program design and assessment, policy analysis, and participatory action research. Those admitted to the dual enrollment track engage with both the Clinical Psychology and Community Programs curricula.
