Robinson's doctoral program in accountancy is designed to cultivate exceptional scholars for faculty roles at research-focused universities. The curriculum emphasizes developing students' abilities to analyze and create accounting research worthy of publication in top-tier journals. Participants complete mandatory doctoral seminars in accounting and research methods, along with electives aligned with their academic focus (such as economics, finance, or psychology). The program encourages close collaboration with faculty to build a research portfolio alongside the dissertation requirement. Students actively shape their academic path during coursework, completing 15 credit hours in research methodology, 18 hours in their primary discipline, and 9 hours in a secondary concentration.
