The sustainability certificate provides a multidisciplinary exploration of sustainability as both an academic field and practical endeavor, examining its role as a conceptual framework, research domain, societal practice, institutional aim, and policy priority focused on the long-term viability of interactions between human and ecological systems. To earn the certificate, students must complete a minimum two-credit internship (self-arranged) alongside four courses chosen from various categories. All internship placements require pre-approval from the Undergraduate Director to count toward certificate requirements.
