Employers consistently seek candidates who can provide documented evidence of their spoken and written language skills. The undergraduate Certificate of Language Ability enables students to demonstrate their linguistic capabilities, serving as an excellent addition to fields like business, international relations, public health, criminal justice, hospitality, and others. To earn this 12-credit certificate, students must complete courses at the 2000 and 3000 levels (with at least 6 credits at the 3000 level), achieving a grade of B or better on the initial attempt in each course. Note that courses retaken under the university's Repeat to Replace policy do not qualify as first attempts.
