Our STEM-accredited Master of Science (M.S.) in Architecture program showcases the School's expertise in research and design, attracting both early-career and experienced professionals. The program enhances the profession's practical knowledge as emerging technologies, evolving global practice models, and changing performance standards reshape architectural work.
The M.S. in Architecture equips students with professional architecture degrees (B.Arch or M.Arch) or related design/engineering qualifications with research-driven insights to advance their practice. For this admissions cycle, GRE scores are optional for M.S. in Architecture applicants.
The program draws from the School of Architecture's vibrant research initiatives, incorporating work from doctoral candidates, professional students, and specialized labs like the High Performance Building Lab, Digital Building Lab, and SimTigrate Design Lab. M.S. students specialize in one of five concentration areas, crafting personalized study plans from Master of Architecture and Ph.D. course offerings, with the option to complete the program in one academic year.
