The architecture program is accredited by the National Architecture Accrediting Board (NAAB) and delivers the essential professional education required for architectural licensure.
This professional-degree program equips graduates to address intricate challenges within the built environment. The curriculum fosters this capability by instructing students on both specialized topics and their interrelationships, including: design methodology, visualization techniques, architectural history, theoretical frameworks, building technologies, societal influences, and ecological considerations. A significant portion of learning takes place in the design studio - a distinctive educational setting emphasizing hands-on creation, where approximately 15 students and an instructor collaborate intensively for 9 weekly hours.
The program features global study tours and the opportunity to study architecture in Boise's downtown core. Those who choose to complete their degree at Boise's Urban Design Center will concentrate on modern urban challenges while partnering with graduate students from Landscape Architecture and Bioregional Planning and Community Design programs.
