The MSE graduate program primarily concentrates on materials research, mainly at the doctoral level, though a select few master's degree candidates are also accepted. Though the MSE School has a century-long history, its graduate program is relatively new, dynamic, and quickly gaining recognition as a top-tier initiative in Materials Science and Engineering. Graduates from MSE secure positions at premier corporations, government research facilities, and universities worldwide. The collaborative MSE School boasts 56 faculty members, including those with courtesy appointments, with around 17 dedicated full-time professors focusing on polymers. The MSE PhD program enrolls roughly 200 students. Applicants holding a bachelor's or master's degree in Polymer Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Textile Engineering, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Physics, or related STEM disciplines are eligible for the PhD program.
