The Georgia Tech Computer Architecture research team (commonly called Comparch) explores a wide range of cutting-edge topics. This breadth of research areas, combined with our exceptional faculty and students, ensures Georgia Tech Comparch consistently contributes papers to every major computer architecture conference. Our research is supported by government agencies including the National Science Foundation, Air Force Office of Sponsored Research, and Department of Energy, as well as corporate partners like IBM, Intel, AMD, Google, Qualcomm, Microsoft, and Samsung. Undergraduate students can take foundational courses like Processor Design and Advanced Computer Architecture, while graduate students have access to specialized classes such as High Performance Computer Architecture, Advanced Microarchitecture, Reliability and Security in Computer Architecture, and Alternative Computing Technologies. Our course offerings evolve constantly to keep pace with the dynamic field of computer architecture.
