Our geosystems engineering curriculum integrates geotechnics, geophysics, geomechanics, and geological studies. The program examines how natural materials perform within constructed systems, covering both established and innovative areas such as modern site assessment methods, microstructural and constitutive modeling, hazard prevention for both natural and artificial risks, enhanced soil engineering, biotechnical applications, resource extraction geotechnics, along with foundational design, slope reinforcement, and excavation stabilization techniques.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants must have earned an acceptable master's or bachelor's degree. Ph.D. applicants must choose a CEE discipline or specific field of study. After consulting with faculty, the Associate Chair for Graduate Studies grants or denies the applicant admission to the Ph.D. program in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering.

IELTS - 7 (minimum band score for Reading, Listening, and Speaking is 6.5, minimum band score for Writing is 5.5), TOEFL iBT - 90 (each section must score 19 or higher),TOEFL PBT - 577.
