Our PhD program welcomes applicants with Bachelor's or Master's degrees who aspire to pursue scientific careers. The program aims to develop exceptional scientists with cutting-edge expertise in biology or bioinformatics, actively engaged in research, capable of advancing their field, skilled in professional communication, and competitive for academic and industry positions at postdoctoral and research scientist levels. The School of Biological Sciences currently hosts about 100 PhD candidates. Among recent graduates, 70% hold postdoctoral positions in academia, 9% work as government researchers, 9% in industry roles, 4% as educators, while 9% pursue additional professional training. Graduates average 3.9 peer-reviewed publications and 4.3 international conference presentations each.
