The nuclear and radiological engineering undergraduate program is designed to serve students aiming for immediate career entry as well as those intending to pursue advanced studies. It offers considerable flexibility through various options, allowing each student to cultivate their individual interests and strengths. The foundational coursework addresses essential nuclear engineering concepts, nuclear reactor core design, systems engineering for reactors, nuclear power economics, reactor operations, radiation sources and detection equipment, radiation transport, radiation safety, criticality safety, regulatory standards, and radioactive materials handling.
