The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design at Georgia Tech, accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), provides an undergraduate education that readies students for professional design careers or advanced studies in industrial design and similar disciplines. As the sole industrial design program within the University System of Georgia, it focuses on the professional creation of products to improve their functionality, usability, worth, and aesthetics, aiming to serve users, manufacturers, communities, and the environment. Often referred to as product design, this education equips students to develop systems and physical items such as consumer and recreational goods, business and industrial equipment, medical and computer devices, and transportation and environmental solutions. Industrial designers, blending artistry, entrepreneurship, and engineering, often serve as both generalists and specialists in their field.
Applicants must have International Baccalaureate Diploma.
