The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) provides a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering (BS EnvE) program. This curriculum equips students with core scientific and engineering foundations to tackle modern environmental challenges, including sustainable management of air, water, and land resources, public health concerns, and ecological rehabilitation. During their first two years, students study physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, English composition, and foundational engineering concepts. The third year delves into higher-level engineering subjects such as mechanics of solids and fluids, thermodynamics, along with hands-on labs covering engineering materials, hydraulics, and environmental process engineering. Fourth-year studies feature customizable electives, enabling specialization in areas like biological treatment systems, sustainable development, atmospheric pollution control, and water management, complemented by technical and design-focused electives. A culminating capstone design project synthesizes multidisciplinary knowledge. The program structure allows students to craft personalized elective pathways aligned with their professional aspirations while guaranteeing a robust engineering design education.
