The Master of Science in Biohazardous Threat Agents and Emerging Infectious Diseases is a one-year program that equips students with comprehensive knowledge about biological risks, disease threats, and countermeasure approaches. The coursework examines traditional biological threats, worldwide health security, new diseases, technological solutions, CBRN risk reduction, and CBRN protection. Alumni from this program work in both public health and security roles within government and private institutions. Our faculty members are specialists in diverse areas such as: fundamental sciences, science policy, biosecurity, biological defense, threat evaluation and management, health protection, zoonotic illnesses, chemical and radiological safety, and cutting-edge technologies. The program actively supports students in securing internship placements. Located in the heart of Washington D.C., students have access to practical experience opportunities at research organizations, innovative companies, nonprofit groups, intelligence agencies, and government departments. Internships serve as valuable platforms for implementing academic theories in professional environments.
