Georgetown University's Economics Department has introduced a new two-year Master of Science in Economics (MS-ECON) program. This STEM-designated degree offers cutting-edge instruction in econometrics and quantitative economic analysis over its two-year duration.
Through a collaboration between the Economics Department and Georgetown Center for Economic Research (GCER), MS-ECON students can participate in a Summer Research Assistant Program. Selected students will have the opportunity to support advanced faculty research projects during summer terms. These research positions help participants develop valuable skills for their future careers while building foundations for their own academic investigations. Application details and available positions are announced each spring. The program includes quantitative coursework applying advanced mathematical and statistical techniques to economic problems, covering subjects like Computational Economics, Game Theory, and Microeconometrics.
