The Security Studies Program aims to educate emerging analysts, policymakers, and academics to approach 21st-century security challenges with analytical rigor and ethical consideration. SSP provides an interdisciplinary master's program that equips graduates for careers in defense and security, featuring a diverse curriculum spanning multiple disciplines. Students bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world policy implementation, while experienced professionals from military, intelligence, and defense sectors complement their practical expertise with advanced analytical skills and theoretical frameworks. With intentionally limited class sizes, the program fosters collaborative learning among students and faculty. SSP values the perspective of working professionals in security-related fields and actively supports part-time enrollment. Most courses and program events are scheduled during evening hours to accommodate working students.

This specialization provides comprehensive understanding of global military forces, particularly focusing on how armed forces serve national security objectives. The curriculum examines conventional warfare, nuclear strategy, aerial and naval operations, military assessment methods, civil-military relations, and related topics.
