CGES, the McCourt School of Public Policy (MSPP), and Berlin's Hertie School collaborate on a three-year dual degree program that awards both a Master of Arts in German and European Studies (MAGES) and a Master of Public Policy (MPP). Participants can choose to spend their entire second year, just the spring semester of their second year, or remain stateside throughout the program. This full-time program spans three academic years, requiring students to complete 69 credits - 36 in MPP coursework and 33 in MAGES studies to earn the combined MAGES/MPP degree.
Upon finishing the two-year Master of Arts in German & European Studies (MAGES), graduates will possess comprehensive understanding of European issues through multiple academic lenses. They'll develop expertise in interdisciplinary approaches to European studies, including the ability to synthesize theoretical frameworks across disciplines and connect diverse aspects of complex challenges.
