Advocacy & Policy connects with communities, individuals, political leaders, and the systems shaping our schools and learning environments. By exploring how policies can enhance education, along with the challenges and possibilities for reform, students gain the tools to influence change beyond the classroom, fostering stronger learning experiences within it. Located in Washington, DC—a hub for national policy and a landscape of educational challenges and potential—students immerse themselves in practical, real-world policy studies. The educational landscape of DC is multifaceted and often viewed in fragments. The MA in Educational Transformation bridges these divides by uniting advocates, decision-makers, educators, and administrators, offering students insights from varied perspectives. Applicants to the Teaching Residency Program are automatically evaluated for merit-based scholarships, awarded for outstanding potential as demonstrated in their admissions materials—no separate application required.
