The four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program caters to high school graduates seeking to blend foundational studies in arts, sciences, and humanities with professional nursing education. The program integrates coursework in humanities, behavioral sciences, physical sciences, and biological sciences alongside nursing theory and practice. Classes in bioethics and leadership equip students to excel in today's evolving healthcare landscape.
The nursing curriculum emphasizes both clinical skill development and theoretical knowledge, with hands-on learning starting in the freshman year. During their senior year, students participate in an intensive clinical practicum tailored to their interests, enhancing their expertise and leadership abilities for professional practice. Graduates qualify to take the NCLEX-RN licensing exam upon program completion. This CCNE-accredited program also holds approval from the DC Board of Nursing.
Our School of Nursing maintains memberships with both the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Nursing Association.
