The International Business, Language, and Culture (IBLC) Bachelor of Science is a collaborative degree program jointly created and administered by Georgetown College and the McDonough School of Business (MSB). College and MSB students can apply to join the IBLC program after completing their first academic year.
This interdisciplinary program blends language studies with business education, highlighting how cultural and linguistic skills are crucial in the business field, while exploring how language learning drives global transformation. Alongside acquiring key business skills and professional insights, students engage with humanities by examining literature, history, and language systems, uncovering ethical and societal issues relevant to commerce.
The IBLC program requires 120 credits for graduation. Participants complete the University Core requirements, a combined foundational curriculum that maintains the unique objectives of both Georgetown College and MSB, plus a specialized major merging international business coursework with a language concentration from the College. Note: IBLC students cannot pursue an additional major outside this degree program.
