The Department of Global Health brings together a varied group of researchers and practitioners working on worldwide public health challenges. Our department merges academic rigor with practical application, viewing global health as essential understanding that inspires students to drive social justice and health equality. Established in 2002 as one of the nation's pioneering undergraduate Global Health programs, our Bachelor of Science degree prepares professionals to tackle cross-border health issues through multi-organizational cooperation.
This Global Health major offers distinctive undergraduate training, combining classroom instruction in key health topics with hands-on research opportunities at leading international health institutions.
Our interdisciplinary program integrates public health principles with healthcare administration. Learners examine how environmental, cultural, legal, and economic factors intersect with health and development, assessing their collective impact on global wellbeing. Specialists from WHO, World Bank, USAID, and numerous NGOs contribute to our comprehensive educational approach.
