Georgetown's DSAN program offers an online preparatory course in programming during the summer before enrollment, focusing on R, Python, and command line skills. This three-credit course is specifically tailored for incoming MS Data Science & Analytics students and is provided at no cost. Mandatory for all new students, the course takes place during Georgetown's Summer Session (June through August). Completion is necessary for fall enrollment. Participants can choose full-time or part-time study, typically beginning each academic year in the fall. Full-time students can finish the degree in 16 months by taking three courses each semester for three semesters, plus a summer course. Alternatively, students have up to three years to complete the program, potentially taking one or two courses per semester along with summer classes.
