The Master of Public Policy (MPP) program at the Trachtenberg School equips students to thoroughly analyze data and examine the foundational theories influencing public policies that govern nations and global systems.
Beyond required courses, MPP and MPA candidates select a specialized concentration aligned with their professional goals, either from predefined options or through advisor-guided customization. Every TSPPPA graduate student undertakes a culminating capstone project with a client they select.
Social policy encompasses diverse initiatives affecting individual and societal welfare, particularly focusing on poverty and economic disparity. Given this field's wide scope, students should work with advisors to curate suitable courses from Trachtenberg School and other university departments. Social policy scholars might also explore relevant coursework in education, healthcare, urban planning, or doctoral-level studies on race/ethnicity and gender policy alongside the listed classes.
