The Master of Public Policy (MPP) program at the Trachtenberg School equips students to thoroughly analyze data and examine the foundational theories influencing public policy that governs societies globally.
Beyond required courses, MPP and MPA candidates select a specialized study area aligned with their professional goals, choosing from established options or crafting a customized path with faculty guidance. Every TSPPPA graduate student undertakes a culminating capstone project for a real-world client.
This concentration focuses on developing analytical skills to assess environmental challenges, their underlying conflicts, and the effectiveness of various policy solutions.
Environmental Policy concentrators must complete 9 credit hours in their field, including one mandatory 3-credit course. Remaining courses can be selected from the approved list below, though students may petition to count other relevant GW courses toward their specialization with advisor approval.
