The biostatistics PhD program offers advanced doctoral education in probability theory and statistical methods with a specialization in biostatistics. This 72-credit curriculum is collaboratively managed by two departments: Statistics in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences (CCAS) and Biostatistics and Bioinformatics in the Milken Institute School of Public Health (SPH), including its research arm, The Biostatistics Center. The program maintains dual accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education via CCAS and the Council on Education for Public Health through Milken Institute SPH. Graduate degree specifications align with the academic policies and scholarly standards of both CCAS and SPH, with the degree ultimately awarded by CCAS.
