The public policy concentration within the Political Science Bachelor's degree shares many foundational requirements with the standard BA program, while adding four advanced electives - three specifically focused on public policy topics. Political science majors specializing in public policy must also take a mandatory proseminar during their junior or senior year, where they research a policy challenge and develop academic writing on their findings.
Numerous participants in this program enhance their education through international study opportunities and credit-bearing internships.
According to Columbian College of Arts and Science regulations, students must fulfill all major requirements current at their declaration date. Those who declared their major before Fall 2020 must follow the previous set of requirements.
